XOR Bitwise BitFlipping made understandable. Please enjoy this educational demonstration of the WikiPedia explanation of how XOR works and see how it plays in encryption.

XOR BitFlip is designed to teach you about the cryptography concept of bit-flipping and the bitwise operator / function of XOR.

XOR BitFlip will show your text in a number of formats:
ASCII #
Binary
HEX

XOR BitFlip will show the same formats of the KEY (ASCII#, HEX, Binary).

If this were cryptography, we would use a string of characters here instead of a single character. Using a string of characters / text would covert our “key” into a “cypher” and allow for the same process to become encryption. This often considered the basis for “encryption technology” and is a concept that is built into the Mac computer and considered public domain, the rules are even available on Wikipedia.

You can use the XOR BitFlip with some text to see what happens when it is put through the bit flipping operation of XOR.

XOR is used in cryptography however this program is limited in nature and not designed for cryptography. This is a learning tool to demonstrate the XOR operation on ASCII text.

Most importantly, have fun!
